Paris-NY: 50 years of street-art.

They are, most likely, the two capitals that represent the artistic avant-garde of the 20th century . Paris and New York: two cities that have seen geniuses such as Warholl, Picasso or Dalí grow as creators to name just a few among hundreds. Characters that have had continuity in our days in the most modern expressions of street art. That concept that many still find it difficult to understand. The one who escapes from the canon, who moves away from the constraints of the regulations and the trends of art galleries.

It is precisely this “transgression” that 'Paris-NY, 50 years of Street Art' wants to value, in the words of the show's curator, Charles Bignon . A collection made up of pieces from private collections compiled by the Alliance Française that will remain in the Archaeological Museum until July 8 .
